Time has only improved the sound quality especially with the replaced bone nuts. The frets and fret board have held up very well. It is very well made and has held up to being, dropped, knocked over and played extensively in the decade that I have owned it. A very minor cost for a major improvement. I replaced the cheap plastic nuts with bone nuts. The only problem I ever had was the bridge pickup had to be replaced. It is easy and fast to restring like a electric.

It has a full rich tone for a thin body, much better than other thin body acoustics I have played. lespauled Kramer Maniac Posts: 980 Joined: Fri 2:18 pm. It plays fast like an electric with great acoustic sound. Kramer Ferrington Acoustic/Electric Guitar - 399 (Westchester) Discussion about Kramer Guitars on eBay, Craigslist, and online.

I like everything about this guitar, it has been my main practice guitar since I bought it 10 years ago.

I acquired this guitar in 1997 at a pawn shop in my home town of Fort Worth Texas for about $125.00, what a steal. I have a wide musical taste like Blues, Celtic, Doom, Rock. I would encourage anyone looking for a (less expensive) alternative to an original Nightswan to pick one up.Playing Guitar for 23 Years and have been in two bands but currently not. I spent most of the afternoon playing her and all in all, I am VERY HAPPY with this GibSwan. I give Gibson a solid B+ for build quality. I would compare the build quality of this guitar to my mid-level ($500 - $700) LTDs, which might be the only inclination that it may be just a bit overpriced. The pickup selector switch is solid and the volume knob turns easily and smoothly. The strings fall perfectly spaced on the neck. The Floyd and pickup rings are installed straight and arcuately - no strange angles or subpar installations that are apparent to the eye. The neck feels really good to me - comfortable and fast (as fast I can play anyway, which isn't that fast). I spent about 40 minutes with it making adjustments to the Floyd and truss rod and finally got it set up to my liking. It was completely out of tune (not uncommon in my experience), the action was terrible and the Floyd F-1000 was angled forward pretty hard and raised way too high on the posts. My particular Nightswan was made in November of 2019, so it was boxed up and subject to fluctuating temperatures for almost three months, so whatever minimal set up had been preformed at the factory was pretty much non-existent by the time I opened it. I give Gibson a B+ for paint and finishing. Other than this, the body and neck finish are pretty much as good as you are going to get at this price point. I did find one blemish in the finish on the upper horn and if you look at each and every blue polka-dot, you can find a few that have a very slight blurred edge on them, but you have to be right up against them to see it, so none are visible from two feet away. Much to my great relief, this paste wiped off easily with a buffing cloth. Both of these however ended up only being polishing paste that had either been missed or ignored when the guitars were moving though the finishing line and into set up and packing. Areas of the black paint around the perimeter of the headstock looked like it had been pulled off when they removed the masking and I though I was seeing multiple blemishes on sections of the body paint/clear coat. Right out of the box, I noticed a few things that concerned me. So, not counting the ridiculously excessive delay after ordering, Gibson gets a solid A for packing and shipping. I think I could have thrown the box down a flight of stairs and the guitar would have been fine inside. The guitar itself was very well secured in the Kramer box - wrapped in a complete foam sleeve with the headstock and neck encased in a heavy foam both bound with heavy duty rubber bands.

It was very well packed - double boxed with plenty of bubble wrap between the guitar box and shipping box. I received it via FedEx at my office yesterday (Friday) afternoon. 7 of 7 people (100) people found this review helpful. Musical Style: Rock, hard rock, bluesy rock, modern country. After waiting a little over four months since I placed the order, Sam Ash Music emailed me on Wednesday of this week to say that my Nightswan had shipped.
